PROJECT 2 : THEMED SCENE-BASED MODELING
Overall planning：
Determine the theme and style
• The style of this bathroom model looks modern and minimalist, with clean lines and bright colors.
• I first conceived the general layout and color scheme of the bathroom on paper or in my mind.
2. Collect reference materials
• Collect some modern bathroom design pictures to get inspiration from them, such as the placement of bathroom equipment, color matching, etc.
Modeling：
Create basic shapes
• First, create a basic room shape. You can use the cube in Blender to build the walls, floor and ceiling of the room.
• According to the layout of the bathroom, scale, move and rotate the cube to form the general structure of the room.
Add bathroom equipment
• Bathtub: Use a cube or cylinder to create the shape of the bathtub, and then adjust its details through Edit Mode, such as adding rounded corners to the edges.
• Washbasin and mirror: Also use a cube to create the shape of the washbasin. The mirror can be created by creating a plane and adding a material.
• Toilet: Use basic shapes to build the shape of the toilet. You may need to combine multiple shapes.
• Shower: Use planes and cubes to build the frame of the shower. The glass part can be achieved by setting the transparency of the material.
Detail processing
• In Edit Mode, use vertex, edge and face operations to process the model in detail, such as adding chamfers and rounded corners, to make the model look more realistic.
Lighting and Rendering
Lighting Settings
• Add appropriate light sources, such as point light, spot light or ambient light to illuminate the scene.
• Adjust the intensity, color and position of the light source to make the scene look more natural.
Rendering Settings
• Set rendering parameters, such as resolution and sampling rate.
• Choose a suitable rendering engine. Blender has a variety of rendering engines to choose from, including Eevee and Cycles. I chose Cycles.
