PROJECT 3 (FINAL)

PROJECT III (FINAL) : ORGANIC MODELING (CHARACTER)

This character consists of two parts: the upper part is a yellow little lion, and the lower part is an orange fruit. The character's eyes are big and round, which makes it look very cute.
Here are some steps to create this cartoon-style character in Blender:
Basic Shape Creation:

• Start modeling using basic geometric shapes such as cubes, spheres, etc. For this character, start with a cube and form the basic shapes of the lion cub and fruit by stretching, scaling, and adjusting vertices.

• In Edit mode, use vertex, edge, and face manipulation to shape the character's appearance.
Adding Details:

• Adding details to the model through subdivision. Use the Subdivision Surface modifier in Blender to smooth the surface of the model.

• Use Sculpt Mode to further refine the details of the character, the lion's ears, eyes and the texture of the fruit.
Lighting and Rendering:

• Set up appropriate lighting to illuminate the character. Use point light, spotlight or ambient light to achieve the desired effect.

• Choose the appropriate rendering engine Cycles for rendering and adjust the rendering parameters to obtain high-quality images.
Reflection
During the learning process, I lacked innovative thinking about character design. For example, I did not try to make personalized modifications to the character's form, color or details, which resulted in my work lacking uniqueness to a certain extent. Before modeling, I will spend more time on character design ideas, try different combinations of form, color and details to make my character more personalized.
