FINAL PROJECT E-PORTFOLIO:Visit the Flower Garden

Welcome to My Final Project E-Portfolio on Interactive Spatial Design!

Visit the Flower Garden

Function: Leisure interaction
This space is centered around "interaction and leisure". The open design is mainly based on a sunshade wrapped in curves. Through the combination of interactive games, floral installations and leisure facilities inside, an interactive space functional place that integrates entertainment, relaxation and artistic experience is created.

Design Development:

In terms of form, a large number of curves and organic shapes are used to imitate the softness of flowers and the gracefulness of flowing water, giving the design a natural and friendly quality. At the same time, in order to give the design a modern feel and structural stability, geometric shapes and simple lines are also cleverly integrated. These geometric elements interweave and merge with natural forms to form a unique visual effect, which not only retains the natural agility, but also has the order and rationality of modern design. For example, in the design of an object, the main part may be an organic shape similar to petals, but geometric shapes such as squares or circles are used in local details or supporting structures to achieve a balance between form and function.

In terms of spatial layout, full consideration is given to human behavior and psychological needs. By setting different areas and paths, people are guided to flow and stay in the space, creating a rich and diverse spatial experience. For example, setting up some semi-open spaces can provide a certain degree of privacy while maintaining visual and spatial connections with the surrounding environment; or designing some high and low spatial levels to increase the interest and exploration of the space. At the same time, attention was also paid to the permeability and lighting effects of the space, so that natural light can be fully integrated into the space, further enhancing the interaction and connection between people, space and nature.

Design Elements:
Points:
These pink flowers are evenly arranged on the edge of the page and the vines on the exterior of the building are relatively small compared to the entire device, with a concentrated visual center, the same point, and the bright colors contrast with the background, becoming the visual focus and attracting the line of sight, thus embodying the concept of point, which is a basic element in design that attracts attention, guides the line of sight and enhances details through its position, size, shape and visual appeal.

Design Principles:
Contrast:
One roof is made of wood with a similar color to thatch, and its top is curved, which looks natural and simple. The other one is made of glass, and its top is flat with a bump in the middle, which looks very transparent. The difference in material and shape forms a sharp contrast, and the two buildings on the left and right, one large and one small, also form a contrast.

Hierachy:
Through the layered design of the building, a clear relationship between grades is formed, guiding interactive interaction.

Continuity:
There is visual continuity from the stairs to the upper platform and then to the area under the roof, guiding people's eyes to move naturally through different parts of the building.

Reflection:
In the process of completing the interactive space design project "Visit the Flower Garden", I have gained a lot and have also deeply realized my own growth and shortcomings.

From the germination of the design concept to the final presentation, I have always adhered to the original intention of integrating "interaction and leisure" into every detail. The extensive use of curves and organic shapes to imitate natural elements is to bring users a sense of closeness to nature and relaxation, while the clever integration of geometric shapes is to give the space a sense of modernity and structural stability. The process of finding a balance between the two has given me a deeper understanding of the relationship between form and function.

In the use of design elements, I carefully arranged pink flowers and vines, using them to form a visual focus and embody the concept of "points", hoping to attract people's attention and enhance the attractiveness and sense of detail of the space. However, in actual operation, I found that it is not easy to present these elements appropriately, and it requires constant adjustment and experimentation to achieve the desired effect.

The application of design principles also brought me many challenges. For example, in terms of the principle of contrast, although I designed roofs of different materials and shapes and buildings of different sizes to form a contrast, in the actual presentation, further optimization may be needed to highlight this contrast effect more clearly, so that users can feel the ingenuity of the design more intuitively. The application of the principles of hierarchy and continuity was relatively smooth, but it also made me understand that these principles are not only for aesthetics, but also to guide the behavior and interaction of users in the space, which requires me to think and design from the perspective of users.

Looking back on the entire project, I realized that I still have a lot of room for improvement in detail control and actual effect presentation. Sometimes I focus too much on the design concept and ignore some details in the actual construction and user experience. But through this project, I also learned how to better combine theoretical knowledge with practice, and how to constantly adjust and improve when encountering problems.

In the future, I will pay more attention to details, start from the user's perspective, and continuously improve my design ability, hoping to create a more perfect, attractive and practical interactive space.
