Welcome to My Embedded Systems Assignment 1-Functional Concepts Interactive Spatial Design!
The five of us formed a group to work on our project. First, each of us came up with a few ideas about embedded systems and sent them to the group.Afterwards, we chose the best idea together - Digital Pond.
Campus Interactive Walkway - Digital pond that reacts to users movement by creating water rippling effects when users step on the tiles. Motion sensors detect footsteps and generate ripple effects and other digital elements like fallen leaves.
We created a shared document with the contents of the infographic on the topic, and we each assigned our own content to write and started working.

I started to design the infographic based on the content. Because our idea is called Digital Pond, I started to design it with a green background and fish in the pond as the keynote. This is the infographic I designed.

Our initial idea was to install electrical sensors on the tiles to detect pressure. The teacher proposed a new solution. We can place LED screens on the floor to make it have touch screen functions. When touched, it can display coordinates and present ripple animations. There are also activity cases in shopping malls. The floors in these places have interactive reactions, which is similar to the project ideas. We can conduct in-depth research and apply the results to the project. The teacher believes that the content of our infographic is complete, and there is no need to add advantages and disadvantages, fault problems, etc. Projection mapping is not necessary in the current project and can be deleted if it is not needed. At the same time, it is recommended that we simplify the strategy and industry trend parts and add some content about industry progress and trends.

Self-reflection
In terms of teamwork, we actively proposed ideas about embedded systems in the early stage and jointly selected the idea of "digital pond", which reflected good team vitality. When creating shared documents for infographics, the division of labor was clear, and each was responsible for content writing, which improved work efficiency. However, after communicating with the teacher, in the process of modifying the feedback, there was still room for improvement in the depth and efficiency of team discussion, and sometimes there were inconsistent ideas, resulting in slightly delayed decision-making.
From the perspective of knowledge and skill application, by studying the application of embedded systems in interactive spaces, I have a deeper understanding of related concepts and have also exercised the ability to transform ideas into functional concepts. When designing infographics, we can choose the appropriate style according to the theme, such as using green background and fish in the pond as the keynote, which fits the theme of "digital pond". However, there are deficiencies in the understanding and application of technical principles. The pressure detection sensor solution initially proposed is not perfect, reflecting the lack of thorough research on related technologies.
Although we can actively respond to and improve the teacher's feedback, there are certain deviations in understanding and execution. For example, in the adjustment of the content of the infographic, we failed to accurately grasp the teacher's intention to simplify some parts and increase the content of industry progress at the beginning, resulting in some repetitions in the modification process.
In the future, in teamwork, I will be more proactive in promoting communication, clarifying discussion processes and decision-making methods in advance, and improving efficiency. In terms of knowledge learning, I will devote more energy to studying technical principles and broadening my knowledge. In the face of feedback, I will communicate more deeply with the team and teachers to ensure accurate understanding and efficient implementation of improvement requirements, so as to improve my comprehensive capabilities in embedded system design and other aspects.
